As today consumers become more and more aware of their health issues and concerns ,it has increasingly come to the fore for some that consuming rapidly growth poultry may not be good for their general health. As a result these consumers are seeking core health products that generally grown on less hectic growth pattern but more natural and organic way.
Lately, this led to increased demand for poultry that are grown I so-called environment is used as compared to intensive production systems. Fortunately the free range system is less intensive than the modern production systems and will therefore take longer to produce a product.
The Ecofeeds free range of feeds addresses the needs of all types of free ranging birds eg chickens ducks and Turkeys. This also includes indigenous, inherently tasty –road runners. The feed range comprises of Free Range Chicken Starter , Grower/ finisher and Breeder mashes . In line with organic theme and to meet consumer expectations ,Ecofeeds formulate the range without coccidiostats , antibiotics, growth promoter nor animal protein. By not using coccidiostats ,feeding mixed flocks means that the laying rates of layers is not compromised and the eggs are wholesome and organic
FREE RANGER CHICK STARTER MASH (20% CP)
High protein for feeding from day old to 2 months(8 weeks ) of age. Feed 1.8kg /bird and libitum for the period for indigenous chickens.
FREE RANGE GROWER/ FINISHER MASH (15%CP)
This is used up to 18 weeks or slaughter .The free range chicken is expected to consume about 5kg of feed during this period and is expected to weigh around 1.6kgliveweight by then.
FREE RANGE BREEDER MASH (14.5 CP)
Formulated for birds that are 18 weeks or older.
It allows development of reproductive organs up to week 30 which , by then egg production will have increased to pick around 90%.
Allow 120 to 125g /bird/day for the period for indigenous chickens.
